Management and accountant journalSummary: The development of a particular economy is always reflected in its gross domestic product (GDP). Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an important role in GDP growth. In this article a humble effort has been made to know the impact of foreign direct investment of various sectors on GDP. The data are secondary in nature collected from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website. Ordinary least square method (OLS) has been used for this analysis. The researcher concludes that FDI in service sector and other sectors has significant impact on GDP while FDI in manufacturing sector is not having a significant impact on GDP.
